Club Cruises for 2021:

If you are new to cruising, a club reciprocal cruise is the best introduction to more ways to have fun on your boat.

Online registration for cruises will be available. Check back for updates and watch the QuickClipper.

Two cruises have been confirmed for 2021 and one more is in the works.

Friday July 2 - Sunday July 4 - Whitby Yacht Club (WYC)

Cruise Co-ordinators:  Andrew Good, TAPAS and Russell Sergiades, OUTWARD BOUND

Join our cruise to Whitby Yacht Club ( on the weekend of July 2th to 4th. With Canada Day falling on a Thursday, this will be our first big cruise of 2021. Whitby is a great location with wonderful walking on the Waterfront Trail. Whitby Harbour Days offer a variety of activities and a great way to get to know the area.

We will meet on Saturday for a BBQ dinner and refreshments. They have a great setup with BBQs readily available.

Saturday July 18 - Sunday July 19 - Oakville Yacht Squadron (OYS)

Cruise Co-ordinators:  Peter and Moya Ashby, RESOLUTE

This is going to be the classy cruise of the year. The elegant Oakville Club has a pool, tennis courts, and gourmet food.  For a change, we are thinking that we will not have the usual BBQ. (You can consume your own food or drink only on your boat not on the Club premises).  So you won’t have to bring meat and plates and slave over a smoky stove.  Rather, after your swim, change into your smart casuals and join your friends for an evening meal served at the pool or riverside or in one of the air-conditioned dining areas.

Sunday morning, after your early morning swim, join your friends for breakfast at the Club or at Mo’s Kitchen (just up Lakeshore from the Club).  Check Mo’s kid’s menu on their website. Anyone for Eggs Florentine?

There are lovely walks through tree-lined streets with historic homes just outside the club and along the waterfront trail beside the lake. Take in the little museum full of old sewing machines and typewriters.

This would be the perfect cruise for children.  The sailing distance is short and they will love the pool.

Oakville Club is hoping some boats could exchange on Friday 17th offering some lucky ones a two-night stay at this chic location.

There will be a limit of 10 boats. Sign up early!

Saturday August 1 - Monday August 3 (Civic Holiday Weekend) - Youngstown, NY

A destination not to be missed! Great sail to a key USA stop on southwest Lake Ontario, directly across from Niagara on the Lake. Loved by both cruisers and racers, Youngstown has good amenities, clubhouse, dining, as well as local pubs and provisions within walking distance.

Start planning your trip early in the new year to make sure you have your passport, US boat decal for boats 30 feet and over, and VHF station license in time.
Look forward to seeing you in Youngstown!
